Colgan Heritage Weekend

17th – 19th August 2018
Carndonagh
The Colgan Heritage Festival will be an occasion for participants to enjoy an array of events with special emphasis on the life and times of the Franciscan monk John Colgan who was born in Carndonagh and after whom our parish hall was named.
Cultural heritage surrounds us in our towns, our landscapes and our archaeological sites. It is found not only in literature, art and objects but also in crafts, skills, stories, too, songs and films. To this end we have chosen as our theme for 2018, ‘Carving a Future form our Past’. The organisers are now in the process of contacting speakers for the weekend who, they hope, will do justice to the theme and provide a platform for questions and debate. > Read More
