For details visit: www.rathmullan.ie/filmfest
The Rathmullan Film Festival is an all ages inclusive and participatory festival taking place in the beautiful seaside village of Rathmullan from 21 to 24 February.
The programme has been curated by local community groups, businesses, school kids and film fanatics, with a view to engaging the local community in the creation of unique cinematic experiences.
This is a different approach to film festival programming as it promotes local creativity while offering residents and visitors a versatile programme of film screenings, workshops, food & film experiences, industry talks, sports fun and pub entertainment.
The programme also includes artistic pieces which were produced by locals especially for the festival, including an animation short, an archive compilation film, a documentary film and an interactive projection experience.
Sponsored by the local community, the Regional Cultural Centre and Screen Training Ireland, the RFF is the newest effort to support and promote film practice in Donegal and celebrate the North West filmmaking scene, complementing the work of other festivals such as The Disappear Here Film Festival, Earagail Arts Festival and Foyle Film Festival.
