The word on the street is: “If you haven’t made a reservation make one now because it’s going to be a night to remember!”
Enjoy a Scottish Hooley Weekend to celebrate the life of Robbie Burns. On Friday, you can join in the fun at our night of Ceilidh dancing and a little sing-along. After a hearty breakfast enjoy a lovely afternoon at our Dance and Poetry workshops. That evening Richard Hurst will welcome guests at our Burn’s Night Banquet. After feasting on the traditional Scottish meal of haggis, potatoes and turnips, among other tasty tipples (including whisky!), guests will have a chance to take part in some Scottish ceilidh dancing which is always “great craic!”
Robert Burns (1759 – 1796) wrote over 300 songs and a variety of poems during his short life which will be celebrated with music, song, poetry and oratory as well as a banquet featuring the traditional Scottish festive dish of haggis, parsnips and potatoes.
